Amazing quality that will never be replaced. Condition is amazing with no damage and a polished finish. The bracelet can be fastened at two lengths – 195mm or 203mm (7 + 3/4 inches or 8 inches) Solid links so won’t dent. A great weight of 19.9 grams. W&S Made in Birmingham 1899, date letter = Z. Very pretty and stylish Edwardian 9ct gold bar brooch. Elegant in its simplicity, it features a plain gold bar with a stunning pink faceted, collet-set gem; possibly a tourmaline or a pink sapphire centred in the middle and flanked on either side by a natural seed pearl set in a foliate shape. The brooch comes with an integral gold safety chain which would indicate the gem is a precious stone rather than paste. Certainly, it is a beautiful deep pink which really sparkles when the light catches it. There are no hallmarks which is not unusual for a piece this age, but it is stamped 9ct on the fastening clap.
