THE BIRDS TAILS TO THE FRONT ARE DECORATED WITH 18CT WHITE GOLD BUT THE REST OF THE BROOCH IS YELLOW GOLD AND IS MARKED 750 TO THE BACK. THE BROOCH IS QUITE HEAVY AND SOLID, NOT HOLLOW. VICTORIAN 18CT YELLOW GOLD. CUSTOM MADE BROOCH FEATURING 3. FULLY ARTICULATED ON AN. FULLY HALL MARKED 18CT BAR – C1887. PRESITGIOUS LONDON GOLDSMITH AND PRESENTED IN THE ORIGINAL FITTED CASE & 5.71 GRAMS. A TRULY STUNNING ONE OF A KIND JEWEL – QUIRKY & GREAT FUN! The bells are complete with clangers and tinkle when worn as they are fully articulated. Each part of the brooch is stamped 18ct and the bar of the brooch carries full London hall marks for 1887 including Queen Victorias head. The brooch carries the makers mark for prestigious London Goldsmith John Phillips and the brooch is presented in the original fitted case as retailed by Royal jewelers Dobson & Sons of Piccadilly. These bells are probably wedding bells as each bell carries the initials of the couple to the rear face and the larger central bell is dated 17. May 1888, undoubtedly the wedding date? The front face of the bells are engraved and chased with abstract design. Is undoubtedly custom made for a wedding or similar special occasion and is of superb quality. The bells tinkle when worn and are complete with the original clangers. All parts are stamped 18ct and the bar carries a full set of London marks for 1887, whilst the central bell is engraved for 17. The brooch measures 2.0 in length and is 1.00 in drop. The 2 smaller bells are 1.0 x 1.0 and the central bell is 1.25 x 1.0. The brooch carries its original gold bar which has a simple clasp. The total gross weight is 5.71 grams. Is the original fitted retailers box in blue velvet, with a raised custom fitted velvet pad and navy satin interior. It is in antique condition 2/3 and whilst the interior is undamaged the exterior shows extensive wear to the velvet covering, so please see photos? Both the hidden hinge and clasp are excellent. This item is in antique condition 1/2. The bells are in really fine order but do show age related scratching to the front faces, whilst the rear faces are in excellent order. All of the engraving is visible as are the hall marks and makers mark. The bar clasp is excellent. The condition of the box is above. Please see detailed photos? Edwardian 14ct, 14k, 585 rose gold Diamond & Emerald trilogy bar brooch, tie pin, Circa 1905 A classic bar brooch featuring a central 4×3.8mm Emerald flanked by two 3mm Diamonds mounted in a claw setting in the centre of a knife edged bar brooch. All beautifully made in 14 carat rose gold. Complete with double pin and C- clasp style fitting. The diamonds are lovely deep old-cut gemstones, they are bright and eye clean with an estimated colour F, clarity VVs1 and total carat weight of 0.30ct. The Emerald is a vivid green colour with characteristic tiny inclusions (known as jardin, the French word for garden, as the inclusions may look like branches or plant roots). Inclusions are a natural part of the character of the Emerald. There are some tiny chips on the surface of the emerald (only visible with a jewellers loupe) it has a carat weight of around 0.25ct.
