VINTAGE 9ct GOLD RABBIT / HARE BROOCH. A really lovely brooch, rare to find a rabbit / hare design in real gold. The rabbit has great detail, you can even see its nostrils and mouth, it also has a ruby eye to the front of the brooch. It is stamped 9ct gold to the bar (see picture). In excellent condition with no damage. Includes brooch box which has cream silk and velvet lining and is a dark ruby in colour. All of my items are very carefully packaged and sent tracked and signed. International buyers are welcome. This is a Vintage Poured Gold Bar from Italy. It was refined and refined & minted in Italy in the 1960’s. It was a hand poured into a bar and then rolled through a press. Into the squared off smooth bar. If you look at the picture of the ends of it. One side shows the. Original pour lines where as the other side shows where it cut it with a saw. The original long bar was long and cut into smaller pieces weighing a odd. Weight at 26.5 grams. It is hallmarked with a 1000 inside a Star shape. This is a hallmark used in Italy with the star and 1000 was to indicate that it. Some old Gold ingots/bars from some other countries. They would stamp the gold 1000 to indicate pure gold. Tested and Guaranteed Genuine. The x-ray scanned it at 99.8 % Pure Gold. Technically 99.99% gold was not achieved yet in the 1960’s. This is a very early example of a gold refining bullion ingot. Has a wonderful art deco look that is in the geometric style. This small yet mighty pin can be worn as a typical brooch or hung from a chain and used as a pendant. Has an old C clasp that was typically used in the late 1800s through perhaps 1910s or so. The clasp is marked 14k. It is a nice estate piece to start or add to your collection! THE BIRDS TAILS TO THE FRONT ARE DECORATED WITH 18CT WHITE GOLD BUT THE REST OF THE BROOCH IS YELLOW GOLD AND IS MARKED 750 TO THE BACK. THE BROOCH IS QUITE HEAVY AND SOLID, NOT HOLLOW.
