This beautiful all original Victorian chain comprised from rectangular shaped bar links that have been engraved on both sides with scrolling leaf motifs. Each bar is encircled by a rounded frame with small “o” rings connectors. Chain is fancy enough to stand on its own or will look equally fabulous in combination with other chains for a unique mess neck statement. Chain necklace completed with spring clasp and hallmarked “14kt”. Gold is bright and shiny with minimal signs of age. Ready to wear or to give. Chain measure: 24.5″ (62.2cm) long, 1/8″ (3mm) wide. Vintage 2-Tone 24 14K White & Yellow Gold Engraved Fetter or Bar Chain 10g

In January, 2019 we started the slow but satisfying process of listing Eytan’s inventory on-line so that he can semi-retire and focus more on custom designs. Please check back as we’re listing new items every week — all fine jewelry in a range of styles and all priced with an emphasis on fairness and realism! This elegant, well-made chain features alternating bars of 14 karat white and yellow gold. The white bars have a harlequin pattern and are 6mm long. The gold bars are shorter — 3.5mm — and have cut corners plus a faint stripe pattern accented with tiny dots. There is a plate on one of the bars, next to the closure, stamped 14K. ” The spring ring is also stamped “14K. No maker’s mark. The fetters are about 1.5mm thick. The overall length is 24 and the weight is 10 grams. Not many clues to go on in terms of age, but we think this chain is probably at least 90 years old based on the purity marks, the quality of the spring ring, the tone of the white gold, the style, and the overall workmanship.
