For your consideration: This exquisite necklace is part of a collection of 3 very different, but equally beautiful necklaces made from vintage/antique pocket watch chains that I found at an estate sale. The owner had them made by her jeweler from watch chains that belonged to beloved family members. She added charms and pendants that had sentimental meaning. I feel very blessed to have found them. Vintage 14k solid yellow gold figaro watch chain made into a necklace. The chain without any charms is 22.25 long, 2.8mm wide and. The figaro chain has a 9k gold dog clip/swivel clasp on each end. There are 4 pendant/charms that came with this necklace; a vintage 14k cross pendant with a small diamond, a vintage 9k tiny bell pendant with a functional knocker, a petit vintage 9k padlock pendant that also serves as a clasp, and a very old 14k t-bar on a chain from another pocket watch. The figaro chain weighs 8.58 grams. 76 grams, the bell weighs. 82 grams, the cross weighs 1.05 grams, and the t-bar weighs 2.4 grams. The total weight of the necklace is 13.6 grams with the charms. The bell measures 12.3mm tall and 10.2mm wide. The working padlock measures 13.3mm tall and 9.5mm wide. The cross is 21mm tall and 16.1mm wide. The t-bar is 36mm wide, 1.9mm thick, and the chain is 23mm long. The necklace and charms are in great vintage condition. There is no damage other than surface scratches due to age and wear. There are no repairs. The jump ring on the bell is old and is not soldered closed. The padlock closes firmly, and has a loop for a safety chain. If you want to use the padlock as a clasp, I would have a safety chain attached for security. The dog clips are in excellent working order. This is an exquisite one of a kind necklace. It was made by someone who valued vintage and antique styles. It can be worn alone, without any charms. It can be worn with any combination of charms. The charms can be placed anywhere on the necklace, or simply clipped on to the dog clasps. This necklace can also be worn lariat style to accentuate the neckline of clothing, or as a focus for a special pendant. This necklace looks excellent layered with other chains. However, this is a unique statement piece when worn alone. You will have a lovely piece of truly vintage jewelry that can be personalized with your favorite charms as well. An attractive vintage Art Deco 18ct white gold watch chain. It has bar links with engine turned design and engraving to each of the bars, it has a white gold spring ring clasp. The dog clip has been replaced and is an older silver plated dog clip but this could easily be swapped out. Unmarked but tests as 18ct, English make c1930’s. 14.5 total length with clip. 0.75 bar link length. Approx 7.65 grams. Good used condition overall with some light surface wear and patina, replacement dog clip.
