9ct Gold Aquamarine Bar Pin Brooch. Solid 9ct yellow gold. The stone is in very good condition, almost no chips or scratches visible even under 10x magnification. The gold has a few fine scratches and very small dents on the surface, otherwise in good condition. The stone has not been tested as the jeweller I get my stones tested at are currently closed. I believe the stone to be aquamarine because there are no scratches on the the stone and the colour exactly matches other aquamarine stones I own. Despite my confidence that the stone is an aquamarine, the stone may a different stone such as a topaz or apatite. So just keep that in mind when purchasing this brooch. The stone is definitely not glass as it is a hard stone at about 7-8 and there are inclusions visible in the stone. No bubbles are visible in the stone either. The stone is slightly loose in its setting, it will not fall out unless an excessive amount of force is applied. The pin is made from brass and the front/setting of the brooch is solid 9ct gold.
