AN ANTIQUE HALLMARKED SOLID SILVER BAR BROOCH INSET WITH 7 OCTAGONAL CUT GENUINE AMETHYSTS AND TINY ROSE CUT GENUINE DIAMONDS SURROUNDING. THE PIN, PIN HOOK AND HINGE ARE ALL SOLID 18CT GOLD. THERE ARE TINY HALLMARKS TO THE PIN WHICH APPEAR TO BE OF AN ANIMAL HEAD BUT IT IS TOO SMALL TO MAKE OUT. THE BROOCH IS POSSIBLY FRENCH. THE MAIN BODY OF THE BROOCH HAS BEEN ACID TESTED AND GUARANTEED AT LEAST 800 GRADE SILVER BUT IS LIKELY HIGHER. THERE IS A TINY SCUFF TO ONE AMETHYST WHICH I HAVE TRIED TO SHOW IN THE PHOTOS. OTHERWISE IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND THE CLASP IS STRONG. THE BROOCH IS HEAVY, WEIGHING 8.1g AND MEASURES 1 7/8 INCH LONG AND 3/8 INCH WIDE. IT COMES WITH AN ANTIQUE BOX BUT I’M NOT SURE IF THIS IS ORIGINAL. We will be happy to answer all questions. Where relevant, items will be shown next to a ruler to show size.
