Antique Georgian flat cut garnet daisy brooch with a central old cushion cut yellow citrine. Unmarked which is common, the pin is made from 18ct yellow gold and the closed back settings are made from silver. This exceptionally fine Georgian brooch comes in an antique box which is stunning being a dark mauve colour with gold edging to the top. Both the box and brooch are in excellent condition. Note, as with all antique items there may be wear commensurate with historic use. Circa early to mid 1800’s. Metal; 18ct gold pin, silver settings (tested). Stones; Almandine flat cut garnets and old cushion cut citrine. Garnet sizes; approx 4.7mm x 3.2mm each some variations to each stone. Citrine size; 5.5mm x 4.7mm. Brooch length; 43.4mm long.
