Members of The Royal Mint’s team of coin designers conducted extensive research into how Britannia’s image has evolved over time. Jody Clark, creator of The Queen’s Beasts Collection, drew upon this to create this new Britannia design. The obverse of the Britannia Gold bar shows Jody Clark’s modern version of Britannia with a simple wave pattern to symbolize her strong maritime history. The reverse features a simple wave pattern with The Royal Mint logo and individualized serial number with inscriptions 1 OZ, 999.9 and FINE GOLD. The one ounce bar is 999.9 fine and comes to you in a serialized assay card.
