A REALLY CHARMING ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN PERIOD YELLOW GOLD GARNET SET BAR BROOCH, GOLD SAFETY CHAIN – C1910S. FULLY STAMPED & 5.4 GRAMS. A REALLY STUNNING ANTIQUE BROOCH & THE PERFECT GIFT! The brooch is fitted with a gold safety chain and is exceptionally original. This brooch probably dates from C1910/15s and weighs 5.4 grams. The gold content is tested as lower grade and is possibly 9ct, but maybe mixed with other metals as in early rolled gold items. It is stamped to the clasp. The stones have not been tested and whilst they appear to be authentic, this is not guaranteed and they maybe glass. The simple bar clasp is stamped with the assay mark. And appears to be the original. Measures 1.25 in diameter and is 0.75 in depth. The safety chain measures 2.0 in length. The total weight is 5.4 grams. This item is in vintage condition 1/2. The setting is in really good order and all of the elements are undamaged, although there is age related scratching to the metal work. The marks are fully visible.
