Antique Victorian 10k gold onyx seed pearl starburst bar pin brooch

The elongated, oval shaped bar pin has grooves through it that form a starburst. Set within the starburst is a gold star that is stretched out length-wise to fit the curved onyx base. Bezel set seed pearls in several sizes decorate the center of the gold star. The pin is a little loose but stays in the C clasp securely. It is not hallmarked, but acid test positive for 10 karat gold. CONDITION: Very good for its age. No chips or cracks to the onyx. All of the seed pearls are intact and look original, with slight nacre wear. Minor tarnish to the 10k gold. CIRCA: Mid Victorian era. MEASUREMENTS: a little over 1 3/4 inches long and a little over 1/2 an inch at its widest; weighs 6 grams. Encrusted with 27 old Rose cut Diamonds from head to toe and Ruby set eyes, this Silver lizard winds its way round the 9ct Gold pin which is topped with what is assumed to be, due to the beautiful elegant shape, a natural deep sea Pearl. The attention to detail is inspiring with detailing around the face and two small Diamonds mounted on each limb, one being on the foot and the very tip of the tail containing five in total. This is a pair of antique 14K yellow gold (marked) white enamel beauty bar pins with three bezel-set, tiny seed pearls on each one. They have a locking C clasp with a maker’s mark of a stylized, conjoined JT. The pins are almost 1 1/8 inches wide by 3/16 inch high, and weigh 3.1 grams. Unfortunately, the enamel is scratched and there is a tiny chip on one tip; both pins have locking C clasps, however, one locking lever of one clasp is broken, leaving a small nub to serve as the lever (see close-up in 5th photo).
